Help Create Baltimore's Climate Action Plan

The Public Comment Period is now closed.

Baltimore City has a goal to reduce green house emissions by 60% by 2030 compared to 2017 levels.  Everyone who lives, works, plays and invests in Baltimore has a role in achieving this critical goal that impacts our health,  well-being and prosperity.

Since October 2022, thousands of community members have shared their ideas and priorities to help shape two climate and resilience related plans - the Climate Action Plan and the Disaster Preparedness Planning Project 's goals.

In October 2023, there will be opportunities for the public to comment on the draft climate actions proposed for the Climate Action Plan so that, together, we can develop an effective, actionable plan advances climate justice and ambitious carbon neutrality outcomes.

Thanks to robust input before and during the public comment period, we've finalized a draft to be reviewed by the Baltimore Sustainability Commission (Jan.17th) and the Baltimore Planning Commission (Jan. 25th).
